Google Allo will soon sport a desktop client

The response for Allo hasn’t been at all great since it launched back in late September last year. However, Google’s VP of Communications Products has recently tweeted a picture of a functioning desktop client for Allo in developmentā€”one of the app’s biggest missing features compared to Hangouts.

The image appears to show basically all of the app’s functionality in a more orderly form factor for a browser.

This is great news and all, but it still leaves us with Google’s 3 main messaging appsā€”Messenger, Hangouts, and Allo. Which one does Google want the average consumer to use? Hopefully, that question can be answered at this year’s Google I/O. Crossing my fingers for Google to really just unify their current messaging system. It’s a mess.
