Bixby Voice is finally released in the US

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+? Chances are you’ve heard some cool news about Samsung’s own voice assistant being installed natively on the S8 and outsmarting Google’s Assistant in terms of raw intelligence. You may have even searched through the thousands of settings options to find out how to activate an always-on listening feature. Well, wait no further: Bixby is here, and here to stay.

Yesterday, Samsung began the process of sending notifications to S8 and S8+ users, encouraging them to download and install the voice assistant that is Bixby. I haven’t had long to try out tasks and commands, but when I do, I’ll be sure to write a review.

Sure, it’s several months late, but perhaps Samsung took its time to iron out some bugs and ensure Bixby Voice is a success from the beginning. We will see. Who knows? If the voice assistant is as intelligent as its Korean inventors claim, perhaps Samsung, too, will produce a home speaker to contend with the likes of Alexa, Assistant, Siri, and Cortana. We’ll just have to wait and see.
