Xiaomi set to unveil the Mi Mix 2 on September 11th

The original Xiaomi Mi Mix was a phone that made headlines because it was one of the first phones to go entirely bezel-less. It was well received and was one of the most innovative phones last year. It seems that Xiaomi is back in the bezel-less game, this time around with the Mi Mix 2.

Lei Jun has posted saying that the screen size will be smaller this time around, which will result in better one handed usage, and that the body of the phone will not be ceramic anymore to enable better mass production.

The demand for the last year overshot the production capacity, resulting in resellers charging as high as $1000 initially when the phone was launched.

Specs

The obvious takeaway is that the device will sport a 95% screen to body ratio. There will also be a dual camera setup on the back of the phone. There are rumors that the phone will be having the Snapdragon 835 SoC. It will have 6 GB of RAM and will run MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

Reports are suggesting that Xiaomi will go with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, with a resolution of 2540 x 1440 px resolution. There will be a 128 and 256 GB option for this phone. The battery capacity is said to be around 4500 mAh.
