Project Fi modifies its plans to include unlimited data

Project Fi’s plans appeal to many people, like me, who need data but don’t use a lot of it. This might sound great for some, but if you are one who loves watching videos on the go and stream a lot, you definitely don’t look forward to a huge bill. Today, Google announced a new feature called “Bill Protection” for its MVNO service, which caps your bill to a maximum of $80 if you blow past your data cap and consume too much data.

With Project Fi, you usually pay $10 per GB. This means that if you use up a very large amount of data, you will have a huge bill at the end of the month. This is what Google specifically wants to change. With bill protection, the maximum bill amount you receive is $80, that is if you blow past 6 GB data usage.

However, there is a small caveat here. If you cross the 15 GB mark, you will see slower speeds, as Google will throttle your connection to make sure other users get the available bandwidth.
