Google Chrome turns 10 years old with v69, redesigned with Material Theme

Google Chrome is turning 10 years old, and it’s getting a shiny new revamp from head to toe. The dino game (the one that you play when there is no internet) is also getting a makeover!

First of all, the dino now sports a party hat as it is also celebrating the 10 year birthday of Chrome.

This is what you get on the first run.
After the first run, it sports the party hat.

On top of that, the game now goes into a full-screen immersive mode instead of becoming boxed in when played.

Apart from these updates to the short mini-game, Google Chrome gets a complete facelift v69 and onwards. Material Theme now comes as updates across desktop, Android, and iOS versions of Chrome.

The new look

The shape of the tabs is now different, sporting rounded corners. You get a new start page, which you can customize to your heart’s content.

On iOS, the toolbar is now in the bottom, which should make it easier to reach. In addition, Chrome can now generate a password for you when you sign up on a website. It will save it, and next time you sign in, it’ll be there, on both your laptop and phone using Google Smart Lock. This is to help people who keep reusing passwords.

Similar to the Google app, instant search results now also come to the desktop version of Chrome. Things such as definitions, questions, or local weather should now show up instantly without having to fully search for it.
