#MadeByGoogle event officially scheduled for October 9th in New York City

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL have been leaked front and center, with the official announcement rumored previously to take place on the 9th of October in a media-based event in New York. This was a little bit strange since Google historically unveils its newest Made by Google products on October the 4th, five days earlier than the suggested announcement date. Furthermore, Google is set to hold the event in New York City this time around instead of San Francisco. Clearly, we had to take these rumours with a pinch of salt.

Today, Google has decided to halt the rumor mill and send out invitations, confirming the previously suspicious leaks of the announcement date. Those looking for hidden Easter Eggs anywhere will be left a bit disappointed, however. Only an animation of the famous “I <3 NYC” slogan followed by Google’s famous G logo is all that you can find in the provided GIF. Google will be also live streaming its event as always on its Made by Google YouTube channel at 11 AM EST.

If the previous rumors and leaks are to be trusted, we should be expecting a new Pixelbook, a Pixel Stand, and, of course, the newest iteration of the Pixel phone lineup, the Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

For those living under the rock, the Pixel 3 looks like a smaller version of last year’s Pixel 2 XL, while the larger Pixel 3 XL features a hideously large notch at the top accommodating two selfie cameras. Both phones feature the newest Snapdragon 845 SoC from Qualcomm and a single camera on the back. It’s also rumoured that the Pixel 3 will feature a 2915 mAh juicer, while the Pixel 3XL will feature a much bigger 3430 mAh battery, according to this unprecedented leak on eBay.

Unfortunately, you shouldn’t be expecting a debut of a Pixel branded smartwatch this year. Google has made it clear that a “Pixel Watch” is not in the cards.
