Google’s Project Fi set to be rebranded as Google Fi

Google’s Project Fi, an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), is all set to lose its “Project” status and be rebranded as simply “Google Fi.” Fi is currently tied up with carrier companies Sprint, T-Mobile, Three, and US Cellular with whom they offer plans which many users would find lucrative, depending on their usage.

The tip was first discovered by 9to5Google over a year ago, and now a Redditor has received a card, which shows off a newer four color logo for Fi. This looks eerily similar to the new logo designs that Google has been rolling out.

The new logo in comparison with the old one.

We have not yet received any official announcement from Google, but it’s probably coming soon as cards are already shipping in retail boxes for the Fi provided phones. We are also expecting a revamped website and new Fi apps along with the announcement.
