It’s the first week of March, and right on cue, Google’s monthly security updates are here. Head over to Settings > System > Advanced > System update to update your Pixel devices.
All Pixel phones on the March update have the same build number (PQ2A.190305.002) while the Pixel C still has an Oreo build (OPM8.190305.001).
Essential is also rolling out the March update on build PQ1A.190105.024. This update also adds Digital Wellbeing for the PH-1.
Detailed in the Pixel Bulletin were various performance and responsiveness issues for the Pixel 3. Camera app speed, which users like MKBHD have noted to be a bit sluggish, has supposedly been improved. Device read/write speeds have also been addressed after the February update caused a significant degradation in them.
