Android Q Beta now open for all Pixel phones

Today’s the day! The public beta for the next version of Android, Q, is finally open. It’s available for all Pixel phones, including the first-gen Pixel, which technically reached EOL for Android version updates in October of last year.

The Android Developers blog post states improved privacy controls, foldable phones support, changes to the (slow) share menu, and more. To join the Android Q Beta, you can simply enroll your eligible device here to receive an OTA update. However, if I were you, I would wait a bit until word comes out on its stability.

Google also wants you to share your feedback on the update through the preinstalled Feedback app and the new Android Beta subreddit.

Stay tuned for more coverage on this release!
