Samsung is opening up Bixby to developers

Today, during Samsung’s Developer Conference, Samsung is clearly still fighting to increase the popularity of Bixby in the voice assistant market. So far, Bixby hasn’t been a favorite for a lot of people (and all for the right reasons). From its slow response time to often returning the wrong results and not to mention the existence of the “Bixby button” in new phones, people often complained a lot on social media.

Fortnite installer could have been used to install malicious apps on Samsung phones

Fortnite for Android didn’t come to the Play Store. It was first available on Samsung Galaxy Apps and non-Samsung users could get it from Epic‘s website later on. If you downloaded the installer from the Galaxy app store, you could’ve been exploited by a “Man-in-the disk” attack. This attack allows a hacker to install a malicious app on your phone.

[Update: Fixed] Samsung’s Gear app is incompatible with Android 9 Pie and makes your Gear devices paperweights

Android 9 Pie was just released two days ago, but developers have had since March to update their apps. Unfortunately for many users, the Samsung Gear app, which is used for pairing Samsung Gear devices such as the Gear IconX or Gear smartwatches to your smartphone, does not work at all with Android Pie.
