We have talked in the past about how MIUI, Xiaomi’s skin for Android, is very heavy. Some users appreciate the extra added features, while some of them find it to be an annoyance. Rumor: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to Sport 18:9 Display, Dual Cameras

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series is a developer as well as a consumer favorite. This time around, more leaks are coming up. According to Weibo, the Redmi Note 5 is going to sport an 18:9 display.

Apart from that, there is also speculation that the device may sport the Snapdragon 660 as its SoC. However, we aren’t very sure about that.  More on that below.

Xiaomi Mi A1: First Impressions

Being the Xiaomi aficionado of the site, I was absolutely excited to see Xiaomi partner with Google to announce an Android One branded device. There is so much that is just perfect with Xiaomi hardware—it’s cheap, it’s competitively priced, and lasts long. However, I am very clear on one thing: I absolutely abhor MIUI. The custom take that Xiaomi has on Android is no less than a devil child, and the first thing that I did after buying my current Xiaomi was to flash LineageOS on it.
