Android Auto, Google’s solution to providing a driver-friendly interface on a car’s head unit, is set to get a design overhaul. This design overhaul will incorporate elements of Google’s Material Theme and come with a new dark theme.

Earlier this week, the G Suite team published a blog post informing users that the Google Docs suite of web apps would be getting a new look. In the coming weeks, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Sites will be updated with Material Theme visual improvements while functionality will remain unchanged.

Just today, Google began rolling out an update to Chrome which brought Material Theme to its browser, and previously, updates to Android Messages, Phone, Contacts, and Duo also added Material Theme. And now, Google Photos is added to the bunch.
