The Pixel 4a features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor coupled with 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. There’s a hole-punch cut-out on the front in the top left corner for the camera, and the bezels are also relatively slim. Just like the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3, the Pixel 4a uses the same main camera unit and image processing as the flagship Pixel 4, so you’ll get amazing photos out of this thing.
The phone features stock Android with updates for at least 3 years (which likely means Android 14). It comes with exclusive Pixel features like the advanced Voice Recorder with transcriptions, Personal Safety for emergency notifications and car crash detection, Live Caption for real-time captioning of your video and audio content, and the new Google Assistant interface for faster multitasking.
The phone only comes in one color — Just Black — and the headphone jack and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner are also here to stay!
The best part is the price, though. You get all this for just $349.
The Pixel 4a is available in all of the following countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. India is listed as “coming soon.”
You can pre-order in the US from the Google Store, Best Buy, Amazon, and Google Fi. It will ship on August 20th and become available on carriers including U.S. Cellular and Verizon.
In the announcement, Google also teased its launching two more phones this fall: the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5. The Pixel 4a (5G) will start at $499 and both phones will feature 5G connectivity. They’ll be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.
