5 Phones You Don’t Want to Give to Your Friend

Smartphones nowadays perform many useful functions. The manufacturers of these gadgets are trying to update their product lines as often as possible. But new smartphones are not always nice. Therefore, be careful as the phones from our list are unlikely to be liked by your friends.

1. Samsung Galaxy A80

You get acquainted with Ukraine singles and want to present a smartphone to one of them. Well, Samsung Galaxy A80 is one of the worst gadgets. It is an uncomfortable smartphone for several reasons. First of all, it has a huge 6.7-inch screen. What’s wrong here? The smartphone is extremely difficult to use with one or even two hands without causing accidental activation of some app because of its thin frames. The retractable main camera, which transforms into a front-facing camera, is also a dubious pleasure. The mechanism weighs the upper half of the smartphone. Therefore, it is better not to buy such a gadget.

2. Samsung Galaxy Fold

The real trend of this year is smartphones with flexible screens. The most popular of them is the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The manufacturer decided to make a device that will erase all boundaries between a smartphone and a tablet. They made a device with a screen that folds in half. Thus, when opened, we get a display of much more impressive dimensions. But the attempt wasn’t entirely successful. The South Korean giant didn’t manage to make such a gadget perfect. The bendable screen is short-lived and breaks into many pieces.

3. HUAWEI P40 Pro

The smartphone won the title of the best camera phone of our time. There are contactless payment and all the necessary software functionality through HUAWEI branded services. Of course, the smartphone couldn’t do without a top-end processor that provides excellent work, as well as a capacious battery. This is definitely a great smartphone that deserves a place among the best models of our time. But there is one significant drawback that doesn’t allow recommending this gadget for purchase on the world market. The smartphone lacks Google services, without which it will be extremely difficult for most people to use it.

4. iPhone 6 Plus

The iPhone 6 Plus is one of the most controversial devices in the company’s history. Even ignoring rumors that the new version of Apple’s mobile OS will be available only for newer devices (from the iPhone X), all models released before 2016 are currently not a good option to buy. The smartphone was outdated several years ago. It lagged far behind more modern models in all respects – from speed to photographic capabilities. Their technical characteristics are not able to compete even with budget devices from Xiaomi or Meizu. The very unpopular iPhone 6 Plus model turned out to be unsuccessful at the time of its release and even then lost in performance to older devices.

5. Xiaomi Mi A2

Even though the device was made in 2018, it is still popular in 2020. However, the gadget is included in our blacklist. The Chinese giant offers the buyer a budget smartphone with an excellent camera, a large (6-inch) screen, and a Snapdragon version 660. This would be an excellent gadget if not for one detail. The fingerprint scanner turned out to be defective. After pressing it, the processor heats up, the heat is transferred to the battery, and the smartphone itself heats up. Of course, this is unsafe. The problem can’t be resolved either by replacing the scanner or by software. But if you want to purchase this particular smartphone model despite a significant defect, then it is worth remembering about your right to conduct a two-week test drive for the device.
