Wear OS, Google’s smartwatch platform based on Android, isn’t as popular as the big names like the Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch. But thankfully, Google hasn’t abandoned it just yet and seems to be investing a lot more in the platform. Today, Fossil announced that Google is buying a portion of its ‘smartwatch technology’ and R&D team for $40 million.

Today, Google announced that they have acquired Tenor, a popular GIF search engine in order to improve its GIF capabilities in Google images, Gboard, and more. Google emphasizes, though, that Tenor will continue to run as a separate brand, and will not be fully absorbed into Google.

Broadcom has made an offer to acquire Qualcomm. Under Broadcom’s proposal, $70 per share is to be received by Qualcomm stockholders, which would consist of $60 in cash and $10 per share in Broadcom shares.
