All future Nokia smartphones will carry the Android One branding

It’s MWC time, and all the big manufacturers are revealing their lineups and plans for 2018. Nokia, too, has unveiled their 2018 line of phones; however, what is interesting is how Nokia is handling Android as an operating system. All Nokia devices, moving forward, will be Android One devices.

One of the great things about Nokia devices is that they already came with an almost AOSP version of Android, one with very few modifications made by Nokia. From henceforth, Nokia phones will carry the Android One branding, which means that it will have two years of guaranteed OS updates and will continue to receive security patches even after the OS updates end.

As Google’s Nexus line has now ended, this is probably the closest experience you can get to a Nexus. You also get options to go with for every price range. Nokia has devices in the budget as well as premium segments.
