Paranoid Android and OnePlus 3 review

On May 31st, Paranoid Android for the OnePlus 3 was released after a long line of tweets and test builds. Bemused by the hype, I decided to take a further look. I’ve never really used AOSPA, but the perplexing nature of an entirely different Android version attracted me. I was impressed, but to give you an idea of the nature of this article and what my opinions will be, I am no longer using it.

OnePlus 2 not getting Nougat: what’s next for their current lineup?

OnePlus announced a few days ago that both the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T will be receiving the Android O update, as confirmed by CEO Pete Lau on Twitter. And with the OnePlus 5 hype train currently marching forward, the Chinese-based company has confirmed that their 2015 flagship, the OnePlus 2, will not be getting the (previously promised) Android 7.0 Nougat update.

OxygenOS Nougat Update

Back in November, when the OnePlus 3T launched, OnePlus’ co-founder, Carl Pei, stated in their forums that the Nougat update would come to both the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T “later in the year.” But with OnePlus’ fame for unfulfilled promises, it came as a surprise to many that on the last day of 2016, the Nougat update was rolling out to nearly all devices.
