Android 8.0 includes a useful feature with it which shows you the information about the background apps as persistent notification. These are the apps running in the background on your device. This helps you understand which apps are using screen overlays and which apps are running tasks in the background while you are using another app. It’s incredibly helpful if you want to know what apps are causing battery drain orĀ running for too long in the background. If you’re on Oreo and are tired of snoozing that notification about apps running in the background, you can use these appsĀ to permanently silence them.

With Android 8.0 Oreo only being released about a month ago, unless you’re a Pixel or Nexus user, I don’t expect much of our readers to be on the latest and greatest version of Android just yet. Android 8.0 Oreo is official
In what has been a long and anxious wait, the Android naming countdown has now finally ended, only to reveal us with the official name – Android Oreo. The new version of Android is set to roll out to all Google-branded devices starting with the Pixel series and followed by the Nexus line shortly.
