Google’s Project Fi set to be rebranded as Google Fi

Google’s Project Fi, an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), is all set to lose its “Project” status and be rebranded as simply “Google Fi.” Fi is currently tied up with carrier companies Sprint, T-Mobile, Three, and US Cellular with whom they offer plans which many users would find lucrative, depending on their usage.

Project Fi modifies its plans to include unlimited data

Project Fi’s plans appeal to many people, like me, who need data but don’t use a lot of it. This might sound great for some, but if you are one who loves watching videos on the go and stream a lot, you definitely don’t look forward to a huge bill. Today, Google announced a new feature called “Bill Protection” for its MVNO service, which caps your bill to a maximum of $80 if you blow past your data cap and consume too much data.
