[Update: New video] Leaked images and unboxing of upcoming Pixel 3 XL surface along with USB-C earbuds

Not so long ago, we got a glimpse of a pre-production Pixel 3 XL in “clearly white.” As October is getting closer, we’re getting yet another leak of what appears to be a final unit. It’s come to be almost exactly what we expected, including the controversial notch.

Update 8/10, 10:20 AM/CT: A new video showcases the phone up and running.

Without further ado, here are the leaked images and video:

The hardware specifications app tells us that the specs are the Snapdragon 845, 4GB of RAM, and a resolution of 2960×1440. The notch still remains and is definitely a tall one.

This time around, however, Google is including USB-C earbuds in addition to the same headphone dongle which of course confirms that headphone jack isn’t coming back. The USB-C earbuds look similar to Google’s Pixel Buds and are definitely a welcomed addition.

Update 8/10, 10:20 AM/CT: The same Ukrainian leaker, Канал Лучкова, has released a new video but this time with the phone up and running:

Other than looking at a ton of blurred out text for a good chunk of the video, according to the Antutu app, the Pixel 3 XL will have an enormous 6.7-inch screen along with a 3,430 mAh battery, only slightly smaller than the Pixel 2 XL’s 3,520 mAh size.

Also listed is a 12.2 MP rear-facing camera—the same size as the current generation—but interestingly enough, there are three front-facing cameras listed, all 8.1 MP. We can only assume now that they will be used for some sort of face unlock option (à la iPhone X), however, based on leaks, we’ve only seen two front-facing cameras, so either the third one is just a reporting error by the Antutu app or a small sensor—right now, we don’t know for sure.

End of Update
