#Techtober is finally over and in comes November. It’s time for another round of Google’s monthly security updates.

At the time of this writing, the updates for the 2016 Pixel phones don’t seem to be live just yet. This is also the last “guaranteed security update” for the Nexus line of phones. Also, as a bonus, here is Essential back at it again with the near-instant updates:

  • PH-1: PPR1.181005.076

Update 11/19, 4:15 PM/CT: After a two-week delay, the November security patches for the 2016 Pixel and Pixel XL phones are finally here and rolling out now. Below are the new build numbers:

  • Pixel XL, Pixel: PPR2.181005.003.A1, PPR1.181005.003.A1 (Telus)

Interesting, however, is that the 2016 Pixel’s November patch is only the November 1st security patch whereas the rest of the Pixel line is on the November 5th security patch. What this means is that there are no kernel and driver patches.
