ARCore v1.4 update adds support for the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and the first Chromebook

Every now and then Google pushes an update for its AR platform to add more features, improve the platform’s stability, or add support for new devices. Today, one of the most unexpected devices was added to the list: the recently released Acer Chromebook Tab 10.

Yes, Google has added support for a Chrome OS-powered device for the first time, along with the soon-to-be-announced Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Other devices include the RED Hydrogen One, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, the Vivo Nex S, and more. Below is the full list of the newly supported devices:

Keep in mind, this is based on a teardown of the APK file. Much like rumors, take this with a grain of salt. If you have any of the mentioned devices, you should be able to download and install ARCore from the Play Store within the next couple of days.
