YouTube is testing a new gesture to swipe through your queued videos on Android

Over the past couple of months, YouTube has received a lot of updates changing some of its UI and adding more features. And according to recent reports, Google seems to be not done yet with testing new features for YouTube. While the recent changes to the YouTube app were relatively subtle, Google seems to be testing a new gesture to be added that will make things a lot more convenient for us all.

Instead of tapping on the temporarily displayed buttons, you can skip through your playlist by simply swiping from the right or the left of the screen. Other than that, the user interface will remain intact bearing no visual changes. Below is a quick demonstration:

It is worth noting that this is part of Google’s famous A/B testing procedure, meaning that the suggested change is first tried on some of YouTube’s avid viewers’ devices, before arriving at the final conclusion. This also means that it is not necessary that this feature will make it to the YouTube app in the next update.
