Google is working on a health and fitness assistant called ‘Google Coach’

Google has a service called Google Fit that helps you achieve and measure fitness goals. Now, Google is reportedly working on “Google Coach” which aims to take it to the next level.

Google Fit already does exercise tracking, but with Google Coach, it will recommend workout routines, track your progress, and recommend alternatives if you miss a workout. Further, it’ll use your activity data to make suggestions in the future.

What’s relatively new is the addition of health assistance. It’ll monitor nutrition and even recommend food to eat. Based on your location and patterns, it can help give an order recommendation for a meal. And if you cook at home, it will generate a weekly plan and then even prepare a corresponding shopping list.

According to the report, the primary target is Wear OS, possibly for live tracking only. A phone app will let you monitor suggestions and view past data.
