‘Google Home Hub’ likely to launch on October 9 alongside the Pixel 3

Google has scheduled a launch event in NYC on October 9 to ‘unveil’ the Pixel 3 and 3 XL. However, according to MySmartPrice, another product called the “Google Home Hub” is also going to be announced. The Home Hub is a 7-inch Smart Display, which looks similar to the other smart displays such as Lenovo’s Smart Display.

The Home Hub will be available in two colors: Chalk White and Charcoal Black. The device will sport a volume rocker, 802.11ac Wi-Fi (both 2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth, an ambient light and color sense, and will weigh <500g.

However, oddly enough, the Google Home Hub doesn’t seem to have a camera, which means that it probably can’t be used to make video calls with Duo.

Buying it should not be a problem as Google (allegedly) has plans to have at least 3 million units available for sale from the get-go.
