Google Pixel Slate press images leak, showcases tablet and keyboard

It’s not a complete day until an unannounced Google product leaks, at least that’s what seems to be the case these past few months. Just three days away from its October 9th event, we’re getting press image leaks of Google’s upcoming Chrome OS tablet, courtesy of MySmartPrice.

Based on this leak, we’re confident that the Pixel Slate will have a 3:2 aspect ratio, dual, front-facing speakers, front and rear cameras, and come in a dark blue variant. It appears to be fairly thin, with cutouts for a fingerprint sensor, volume buttons, and a USB-C port.

Interestingly, the device image shows both Google Duo and Android Messages—both of which can’t be installed on the current Pixelbook as of right now.

Also leaked was the keyboard for the Pixel Slate. The keyboard has an Assistant key and a “hamburger” button at the top right. Also visible are the pins to connect the tablet. This isn’t the same keyboard that was leaked last month by Brydge, though. However, it does look the same as a previously leaked video.
