Google has scheduled a launch event in NYC on October 9 to ‘unveil’ the Pixel 3 and 3 XL. However, according to MySmartPrice, another product called the “Google Home Hub” is also going to be announced. The Home Hub is a 7-inch Smart Display, which looks similar to the other smart displays such as Lenovo’s Smart Display.

Back in May, Google added “routines” to Google Home. The feature, “Routines” allowed users to set a chain of commands to your Google Home by saying only one command. Like me and many others, you probably use your Google Home for ambient music a lot. Volume level 2-4 is perfect for this, however, then you need to ask your Google Home a question, only to have it respond back to you at volume level 2.
The Google Home is a fantastic device in my opinion. Powered by the Google Assistant, it’s definitely a product that evolves and gets better over time. I own two Google Homes (one regular and one Mini), and probably my favorite feature about them is the instant access to music you get just with your voice. Speaking of music, Google also released its $399 Google Home Max smart speaker at its October event. It has been a while since our last poll, so I wanted to ask if you guys also own any of Google’s smart speakers. Vote below!

In case you missed it, the hotly anticipated Amazon Prime Day is today (July 11), and for the first year ever, I’m a bit impressed. Some of the deals had me checking my wallet to see if I could shell out a little consumer impulse. This year, it doesn’t feel as if the retailer wants to just discount overstock items, especially after the barrage of negative feedback it received last year. Go check it out for yourself.
