Google Pixel 3 XL case leak showcases new design

We’re a little over two months from Google’s latest smartphone refresh, which is rumored to come in early October. Today, we receive more confirmation on the design of the XL variant of the Pixel 3.

What has surfaced is a case for the upcoming Pixel 3 XL from a known case maker for previous Pixel phones. The leak, courtesy of Gizmochina, lines up with everything we saw from XDA last month. Images from the case maker showcases the dual front-facing camera on the Pixel 3 XL.

Speculation around the dual front-facing camera suggests that we may see an update to “Trusted Face” in Android. This feature that has been baked into Android since 2014 with Android Lollipop. Perhaps we will also be treated with Google’s own answer to the 3D emoji endeavors from Apple and Samsung. Google isn’t usually known to do something like this, but it would be a nice addition if executed well.
