Android 8.0, most commonly known as Android O, has now undergone rigorous testing and four developer previews, so we are now approaching release time. This time around though, Google is not planning to simply take the wraps off a statue. A reveal event, where we’ll get the version name and the final release, is being held in NYC during Monday.

Everyone’s favorite chat app finally gets a desktop client

All jokes aside, Allo is actually a nice app, just one that is missing some big features. Earlier this year, we received some news that Google’s controversial messaging app, Allo, would be getting a desktop client sometime in the future—when, we did not know. But starting today, that change is finally here and here’s what the process is like.

Galaxy Note8 may be brewing some craft hardware: Force Touch displays

It shouldn’t be a huge surprise that the Galaxy Note8 may rock a pressure-sensitive screen. Samsung Grace UX included the ability to tap and long-press an app to display a bubble with additional options, much like Android 7.1.1 Nougat did when first released. But these were soft button enhancements. Will Samsung bring a force touch option to its fall flagship?
